A commercial for gum or mints makes its flavors seem incredibly exciting. It’s so exaggerated to see the freshness and fruitiness depicted by a tidal wave or showers of fireworks. A few classic examples (courtesy of YouTube):
Ice Breakers (1990s). Minty gum with flavor crystals transports the chewer into an icy world of freshness.
Starburst (1991). CLASSIC commercial in which boring situations become a complete deluge of fruit flavor.
Cinn-A-Burst (1995). Two sharks marvel at the burst of flavor THEY got after eating two surfers who were chewing Cinn-A-Burst.
I enjoy these commercials as self-fulfilling prophecies that can actually make the product more exciting to experience. This bubble gives you that burst of flavor.
